FOUNDATION CRACK DO-IT-YOURSELF REPAIR KIT

| Mixing
& Applying Paste Epoxy Surface Seal |
|
(Paste
Epoxy in Margarine Tub)
Mix
equal parts of A & B in clean margarine tub. Mix small manageable
amounts (2-3 tablespoons of each). Mix rapidly to a uniform color
(mixture should be streak free). Apply mixture with trowel over
crack and around straw. Paste surface seal will harden/cure in approximately
8 hours. |

3. Surface
seal is then troweled over crack area and around port. |

4. Leave
excess of surface seal around port rod. |
|
5. Remove
plug from port assembly.
|

6. Slide
port over port rod while surface seal is still plyable. |

7. Excess
surface seal should be troweled over port flange base. |

8. Brush
out surface seal with paint brush to eliminate pin holes. |
| Completion
of Surface Seal |
|
We
have inserted port rods, applied surface seals over crack, around
rods, set in injection ports and brushed surface seal to a smooth
pin hole finish.
NOTE:
If the outside portion of the crack is above grade, this area must
be surface sealed to contain the injection resin.
Surface
seal has cured: |
 |
|
Remove
all port rods.
|

|
Selecting
Resin:
For
a 1/16" crack, we will be using regular injection resin clear
in color, consistancy of motor oil. |

|
| Mixing
Injection Resin |

1. Remove
tape from cartridge. |

2. Pull
Dasher rod up towards neck of cartridge. This will release the aluminum
foil barrier in area of removed tape.
|
|
3. Depress
cartridge slightly in area of removed tape to deform aluminum foil
barrier.
|

4. To
mix, push dasher rod to the bottom of the cartridge and begin mixing
in a spiral clockwise motion from top to bottom of cartridge. Moving
the dasher rod in and out of cartidge is one complete stroke. 20
strokes is suggested to obtain mixing of Injection Resin. On the
last stroke, pull dasher rod to top of cartridge.
NOTE:
down and up = 1 stroke |

5. Remove
yellow end cap from bottom of cartridge. |

6. Unscrew
dasher rod (approx. 3 turns) by gripping the cartridge in area of
the mix head (top of cartridge). |
| Injection |

1. Nozzle
end may be cut off to acquire a larger opening. Nozzle should not
be cut off to a point where it will not fit into the port barrel. |

2. Insert
nozzle into bottom and begin injection of the resin into the crack.
|
|
3. When
injection resin appears in the port above the one you were pumping,
back gun pressure off by dis-engaging gun crank.
|

4. Insert
port plug into the port which was being pumped. |

5. Move
to the next port and proceed to pump until injection resin appears
in the port above.
NOTE:
If any pinholes appear in the surface seal when pumping injection
resin, use clay to plug these areas. |

6. Continue
pumping and plugging until the entire length of crack is filled.
NOTE:
Injection pors can be removed (broken off) after 48 hours after
curing. |
